Recently, a video about a wild Asian elephant "helping" the border police in Yunnan Province of southwest China by sniffing out a bag of opium went viral among Chinese netizens.

The opium was found in the bush of the border near Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. According to the police, they received a call regarding four wild Asian elephants rambling around a village. While the police went to escort the elephants back to the nature reserve, one of the elephants suddenly broke away from the pack and used its trunk to toss a bag from the bush. After the elephant left, the police found the bag contained 2.8 kilograms of opium wrapped by some clothes.
